Making a New Payment

Overview

This guide walks you through creating a new payment request to send funds to your talents through Ruul.
Payments can be made for completed services or ongoing collaborations, and are automatically shared with your selected talent.

1. Start a new payment

  • Go to your Business Dashboard.

  • Click + Add New on the left sidebar.

  • Select New Payment Request from the dropdown.


2. Fill in payment details

1. Talent

  • Select an existing talent from the list.

  • If you haven’t added one yet, click + Add New and fill in:

    • First Name

    • Last Name

    • Email

    • Talent is located in (country)

  • Click Add Talent to save.


2. Project

  • Choose an existing project or click + Add New to create one.

  • Enter the Project Name and click Add Project.


3. Category & Subcategory

  • Select the Category that best describes the service (e.g., Design & Creative, Consultancy).

  • Then select the related Subcategory.


4. Talent will collect payment in

  • Choose the currency your talent prefers to receive their payment in.

  • Available options include TRY, USD, EUR, GBP, and more.


5. Service fee payer

  • Choose who will cover Ruul’s service fee:

    • My Talent → The fee will be deducted from the talent’s payout.

    • Me → You, the business, will pay the service fee.


6. Transaction currency

  • Choose the currency you’ll use for the payment.

  • It can differ from your talent’s payout currency.

  • If it does, the applicable foreign exchange rate will be displayed automatically.


7. Add the services

  • Under Services, describe what the payment is for (e.g., “Mobile app development”).

  • Fill in the Quantity and Unit Price.

  • You can add multiple service lines if needed.

  • Once you enter the price, the calculator automatically shows:

    • Total amount to be paid by you

    • Amount your talent will receive (after commission and FX conversion)


8. Add notes or attachments

  • In Extra Notes, include any context for the payment (optional).

  • You can attach files in the following formats, up to 10 MB:
    PDF, DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX, PPT, PPTX, TXT, JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, BMP, ZIP


9. Send the payment request

  • Review all details carefully.

  • Click Send Payment.

Once submitted, the transaction is instantly shared with your selected talent.


10. Payment confirmation

After submitting, you’ll see a confirmation screen:

Transaction sent to [Talent Name]! What’s next?
From here, you can:

  • Click Make Payment to complete the payment immediately.

  • Click Download to get a copy of the transaction.

  • Click See transaction details to view all related data.


Notes & Best Practices

  • Currency conversions are based on real-time exchange rates and may vary slightly.

  • Ruul automatically generates proforma and commercial invoices once the payment is completed.

  • Make sure to double-check your currency selections and fee payer option before sending.
