Managing Your Space

Overview

This article explains how to manage and update your Ruul Space after it has been created. From editing your profile to adding products, services, and portfolio items, your Space dashboard gives you full control over how you present yourself to potential clients.

Entry Points

  • From the Space tab in the left navigation bar.

  • By clicking Show my Space on your dashboard to view your public page and return to edit mode.

Profile

Profile
Use this section to control the main details of your Space. Updates you make here appear instantly in the live preview on the right.

Profile Information

  • Display name: The name shown publicly on your Space.

  • Professional title: A short, clear title that defines your role (e.g., “Graphic Designer,” “Marketing Consultant”).

  • Profile photo: Upload a square image (at least 400x400px, max 10MB). Choose a clear, professional photo to build trust.

  • Cover color or image: Customize the background look of your Space.

  • Description: Add a short, engaging introduction (1–2 sentences) highlighting what you do and the value you bring.

  • Skills & Languages: List your skills and spoken languages to make your profile searchable.

Highlights & Social Links
Showcase achievements and link your social accounts (e.g., LinkedIn, Instagram) to give clients more ways to learn about you.

Interactions
Manage how clients can connect with you:

  • Toggle the Work with me button on/off for project requests.

  • Toggle the Pay me button on/off to accept direct payments.

  • Update your availability status to show when you’re open for work.

Don’t forget to click Save after making changes.

About

The About section is where you can share a more detailed introduction about yourself. While your profile description is short and focused, here you can expand and tell your story.

Tips for writing your bio

  • Start with a brief summary of your role or profession.

  • Highlight your years of experience or notable achievements.

  • Mention the types of clients or industries you typically work with.

  • Keep it professional but add some personality—clients want to get a feel for who you are.

Remember to click Save when you’re done.

Products

The Products section is where you upload and manage the digital items you want to sell through your Space. Each product you create will appear on your public Space once it’s published.

  • Use + New Product to add a new product listing.

  • Each product card shows its publication status, number of items sold, and total revenue.

  • By clicking the three-dot (…) menu next to a product, you can:

    • Preview – See how the product looks on your public Space.

    • Edit – Update product details such as title, description, price, or file.

    • Delete – Remove the product from your Space.

Services

The Services section is where you can list and manage the professional services you offer to clients. Each service will appear on your public Space once it’s published.

  • Use + New Service to create a new service listing.

  • Each service card shows its publication status, number of items sold, and total revenue.

  • By clicking the three-dot (…) menu next to a service, you can:

    • Preview – See how the service looks on your public Space.

    • Edit – Update service details such as title, description, or pricing.

    • Delete – Remove the service from your Space.

Portfolio

The Portfolio section allows you to showcase examples of your past work. Adding strong portfolio items helps potential clients evaluate your style, quality, and expertise.

  • Use + New Work to upload a new project.

    • Add a title that clearly describes the work.

    • Upload an image or visual asset to represent the project.

    • Write a short description highlighting the goal, process, or outcome.

  • Each portfolio card shows its publication status (e.g., Published/Unpublished).

  • By clicking the three-dot (…) menu next to a portfolio item, you can:

    • Preview – See how the project looks on your public Space.

    • Edit – Update the title, image, or description.

    • Delete – Remove the work from your portfolio.

💡 Tip: Keep your portfolio updated with your best and most recent work. A strong portfolio builds credibility and increases client trust.

Settings

  • Manage your Space URL (ruul.space/username).

  • Control publishing status:

    Publish → Make your Space visible to clients.

    Unpublish → Hide your Space temporarily without deleting it.

Notes & Best Practices

  • Your Space is Unpublished by default—don’t forget to publish when you’re ready to share.

  • Review and refresh your Profile and About sections regularly to keep them up to date.

  • A complete Portfolio increases client trust and improves conversion.

  • Use concise, clear language in product and service descriptions.

  • Choose a professional and simple Space URL; avoid brand names or misleading terms.
